TCIONY TAG TECH Center Celebrates Grand Opening in Harlem

From youth and literacy initiatives to fatherhood, financial wellness, health, cultural competency, homelessness outreach, and community relations, The Community Initiatives of New York (TCIONY) continues to make its presence felt throughout Harlem.

Now, TCIONY has something new to celebrate — the opening of its TAG TECH Center, bringing another innovative resource directly into the Harlem community.

The GRAND OPENING and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new TAG TECH Center took place on September 12, 2026, at 2785 Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem. The celebration introduced community members to the new space and several TCIONY experiences, including The Living Room, TAG Swag, TAG Tours, and Taste of TAG.

The opening represents much more than welcoming another space into the neighborhood. The TAG TECH Center is here for the Harlem community not only to enjoy, but to benefit from — providing opportunities for learning, personal development, stronger community relationships, and connection across generations.

Serving populations ranging from youth to adults, TCIONY continues to innovate while keeping its focus firmly on community. Through its many initiatives — including programs addressing youth development, literacy, mental health, health and wellness, financial empowerment, race relations, parenting, homelessness outreach, and more — the organization continues its work of creating opportunities for development, excellence, and sustainable forward mobility.

And now, with the doors of the TAG TECH Center officially open, Harlem has another community space designed to encourage growth, engagement, and opportunity.
