The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess

Don’t miss the return of the Met’s landmark staging of the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, which won universal acclaim and set box office records in its sensational 2019–20 premiere run. Bass-baritone Eric Owens and soprano Angel Blue headline James Robinson’s production, with choreography by Camille A. Brown, leading an exceptional ensemble cast that also includes soprano Janai Brugger and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as Clara and Jake, soprano Latonia Moore as Serena, tenor Frederick Ballentine and bass-baritone Alfred Walker as Sportin’ Life and Crown, and mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves as Maria. Maestro David Robertson, hailed by The New York Times for “the finest conducting of Porgy I’ve heard,” returns to lead the timeless score.

As part of our commitment to everyone’s safety, we have implemented a mandatory vaccination and masking policy for all audiences and employees. For more information, visit metopera.org/commitment

Cleaner police garage on 118 St and Park

Inspired by the discussion in HBNA’s September meeting, the folks on the block of 118 Street and Park helped clean up the pile of trash in the police garage under the metro north rail. The trash picked up completely fill one large trash bag. Please help to keep the area clean for our children and residents!
