HNBA’s October Meeting – Tuesday at 7:00 PM

Hello Harlem Neighbors,

Everyone is welcome to come out and attend the October HNBA meeting on Tuesday (October 10th) at 7 PM.

Mount Sinai’s Dr. Prameet Singh will attend to talk about Mount Sinai’s methadone clinic at Park/125

Here is your chance to learn more about what Mount Sinai is doing regarding public safety and quality of life concerns in the area.  Also, it’s a great chance to learn more about what methadone is, what it does, and why Mount Sinai continues to distribute it at Park/125 – the largest methadone clinic in New York State.

We’ll also hear from Eva Kahn – a historian – who will tell us more about the history of our neighborhood – focusing on “The Queen of Bohemia” who lived on East 126th Street:

At the turn of the century, our neighborhood was a hotbed of radicals, anarchic politics, and talk of revolution (emboldened by the Russian Revolution).  Learn more about the political, cultural, and personal cauldron that boiled over on our blocks.

We’ll meet at the Salvation Army building:

2306 3rd Avenue (between 125 and 126th Streets)
